STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY FROZEN LEMONADE

CREATED USING A VITAMIX

3 MEDIUM LEMONS PEELED (SEEDS REMOVED)

1 FRESH MINT LEAF

1 FRESH BASIL LEAF

8 0Z FILTERED WATER (1 CUP)

1 CUP OF SIMPLE SUGAR SYRUP (2 PARTS SUGAR, 1 PART WATER DISSOLVED ON STOVE. USE MEDIUM HEAT. REFRIGERATE BEFORE USING.)

1/4TH CUP OF TURKISH HONEY (USE TURKISH FOR BEST FLAVOR)

1/8TH TSP OF LIME ZEST

JUICE OF 1 WHOLE LIME

4 CUPS OF LEMONADE ICE CUBES. (USE THE FORMULA OF 1/2 CUP OF LEMON JUICE TO 2 CUPS OF FILTERED WATER. MAY USE LEMON JUICE FROM CONCENTRATE)

Place all ingredients into the Vitamix 64oz container or other professional blender in the order listed. Gradually increase speed to the highest. Using the tamper (if necessary) to assist in keeping the ingredients moving. Blending time 35-40 seconds. Add fruit purée topping and serve immediately.

NOTE: Do not blend longer as it will break down the slushy texture to liquid.

FRUIT PURÉE TOPPING: Use Vitamix 8oz Blending Bowls (For Ascent or Venturist machines) or standard Vitamix wet blade container. Purée fresh fruit of your choice for 40 seconds or until smooth. Sweetener is optional. See video for more info.


ADDITIONAL TOPPINGS (OPTIONAL)

Garnish with lemon and lime slices with fresh mint and basil leaves.
